Race at a historic circuit

Hello everybody! This is a GP week and as always I can’t wait for the weekend to come round and be in France with all the team. The truth is that things were very calm last week. I spent my time preparing for the race at Le Mans and of course disconnect from the world of racing and recharge my batteries. Having two races like Estoril and Jerez one after the other is very tiring, that is why this week without a race was perfect  to recover and be in great condition to tackle the race in Le Mans. Although things have gone really well so far this year, better than I expected, we know that keeping this high level up is going to be difficult because of all the competition on the grid. Le Mans is a historic circuit and you can feel it in the atmosphere that there always is...

A perfect weekend

Hi everyone! It’s a pleasure to get down to writing the blog after such a successful weekend as the one in Portugal. The truth of the matter is that victory in Estoril has been the icing on the cake in two fantastic and very intense races. Before anything else, I would like to express my most heartfelt thanks to the team for all their work. These triumphs are also theirs, because they’ve been perfect and I had a very competitive bike thanks to them. As I told you, these two weeks have been very intense as far as work is concerned, and we knew we weren’t going to get any results without making an effort. On Saturday we gained a very important pole, although we are already aware of the fact that it’s very difficult to get away from the pack in this category and that you have to...

Still standing

Hi everyone! I’m writing to you after a very tough weekend in Jerez. The rain meant we were bound to suffer quite a lot on the track, although the whole team did a great job to make sure the bike was kept fine-tuned to deal with any eventuality. On Sunday, I managed to get among the frontrunners in the race, although we knew it could rain at any time. I’d already had experience of the red flag because something similar happened to me on the 125 cc, and so it didn’t come as a surprise when we saw it yesterday. I knew that despite having overtaken Pol, he was the winner the previous round was taken into account. Despite everything, I’m very happy because I succeeded in still standing on the track in front of our fans. What’s more, looking towards the World Championship,...

Off to Jerez in high spirits

Hi everyone! Yesterday I was in Cartagena at one of the events organised for the opening of the expanded Repsol refinery, and I was really surprised by the welcome we got there. The people behaved fantastically with us and we had a great day out. I loved the aerobatics display and, of course, enjoyed the trial given by Toni Bou and Fujinami. What a pair of cracks! I was also given a tablet and was able to see the Moto3 race, in which my brother managed to gain victory. What an exhibition! We hope he carries on like that and is able to gain more triumphs like the one inNavarra. This victory is also going to give him confidence regarding the wild cards over the next two weekends. Something else that I don’t want to forget about my visit to Cartagena is the atmosphere among...
