Home sweet home

Hello again everyone,  Not much to report this week, I've had a nice week at home since getting back from the cancelled Estoril test, I've been training and also out fishing with my new Loop tackle. Also, my parents and nephew were over visiting from Australia to meet Ally, so it was nice to spend some time with them, they've now left and Ally, Adriana and I have a few days together before I leave for Le Mans on Wednesday.  After two good wins in Jerez and Portugal, it should be interesting to see what we can do in Le Mans, I hope we have some dry sessions to work on the chatter issues!  Casey,

Ready to get home after win in Estoril

Hello from a very wet Estoril! There was a test planned for today, however, with this rain the test has now been cancelled so I'm on my way home!   It was another difficult weekend, mainly due to weather conditions that messed with our practice sessions, but in the end we turned it around and got a race win from it. The race was tough as I had Jorge and Dani pushing me the whole time and the chatter on the bike was pretty bad, which made my arm pump start to flare up. In the end I found a way to ride around the chatter and then with it reducing slightly, the arm pump did too. Solving the chatter is now our main concern, with that solved we will have a very competitive package and less worry about arm pump!   Last night I went out for some dinner with some friends in...

Finally victory at Jerez!

Hello again from Madrid airport! I'm still smiling after our win in Jerez yesterday. After the Friday and Saturday we had, I really didn't expect it and then in the race I realised we had more pace than I thought. the bike felt much more comfortable and although the arm pump did return, it wasn't as bad as Qatar.  So I'm totally chuffed to have won in Spain and now I'm heading back home for a few days with my girls before leaving again on Thursday for Estoril. I'll be home this afternoon and then have tomorrow and Wednesday to relax and see my trainer, do some work on my arm and spend time with Ally. Thanks for all your kind messages on Twitter - they really meant a lot. See you in Estoril, I hope we can have a drier weekend there...

Ready to go racing again

Hello everyone. This week I've been spending as much time with Adriana and Ally as possible before leaving on Wednesday to go to Jerez for the second race. I've not been feeling that great - a little under the weather. I've been with my trainer a few days but haven't pushed too hard, hopefully I will feel better at the end of the week! I've also been out fishing this week, the guys at Loop Tackle were kind enough to send me some new fly fishing equipment and I ventured out in the miserable conditions and caught a few small trout. I'm looking forward to Jerez, we showed good pace there in pre-season testing so it should be a good weekend ahead! See you next time, Casey
